Comprehensive After-sales Service
The EOS M280 compatible square filter is designed for metal additive manufacturing applications, providing efficient filtration of fine metal fumes and particulate contaminants generated during the printing process.
Designed to match the original equipment configuration of EOS M280 systems, the filter features a precision-engineered square structure, high-efficiency glass fiber media and a pleated filtration design for stable airflow and high dust-holding capacity.
It is suitable for metal 3D printing processes using titanium, aluminum, stainless steel, cobalt-chrome and other metal alloys, helping reduce particulate contamination within the machine's exhaust and filtration system.
Key Benefits
Equipment-Compatible Design — Designed to match the dimensions and sealing interface of EOS M280 filtration systems.
Fine Metal Fume Filtration — High-efficiency glass fiber media captures fine fumes and particles generated during metal printing.
Large Filtration Area— Pleated construction provides approximately 10–15 m² of effective filtration area, depending on configuration.
Low Initial Pressure Drop — Initial resistance ≤150 Pa under specified test conditions.
Stable Airflow Performance — Optimized media and pleat geometry support continuous metal 3D printing operations.
Replacement & OEM Development — Suitable for replacement applications and customized filter development for additive manufacturing equipment.
The filter is engineered based on the original filter configuration of the EOS M280.
Key dimensions and sealing interfaces can be customized to match the equipment requirements, allowing direct replacement without modification to the printer filtration housing when the specified dimensions are confirmed.
Dimensional tolerances can be controlled to ±0.5 mm for critical components according to customer drawings or reference samples.
For replacement orders, we recommend confirming the printer model, filter dimensions and original filter specification before production.
High-Efficiency Filtration for Metal Printing Fumes
Metal powder bed fusion processes generate fine fumes, aerosols and particulate matter during laser melting.
The glass fiber filter media is designed to capture fine particles generated during the processing of:
Titanium alloys
Aluminum alloys
Stainless steels
Cobalt-chrome alloys
Nickel-based alloys
Maraging steels
The filter helps reduce particulate loading within the machine exhaust system and supports cleaner operating conditions around critical components.
Large Filtration Area & High Dust-Holding Capacity
The square pleated structure increases the effective filtration area within the compact filter housing.
A typical filter configuration provides approximately: 10–15 m² filtration area
The increased media area helps:
Improve dust-holding capacity
Maintain stable airflow
Extend filter service intervals
Reduce the frequency of filter replacement
Actual service life depends on printing material, powder consumption, printing hours and operating conditions.
Low Pressure Drop for Stable Airflow
The filter is designed to combine efficient particle capture with low airflow resistance.
Typical initial pressure drop: ≤150 Pa
Low initial resistance helps minimize the additional load on the printer exhaust system and maintain stable airflow during continuous operation.
Actual pressure drop varies according to airflow rate, filter dimensions, media configuration and dust loading.

*Compatibility should be confirmed according to the specific machine configuration and original filter dimensions.
Is this filter compatible with the EOS M280?
The filter is designed specifically for EOS M280 square-filter configurations. Before ordering, we recommend confirming the machine model, filter dimensions and sealing configuration.
Can this filter be used in EOS M290 or M400?
The M280 square filter configuration should not be assumed to be interchangeable with other EOS printer models.
For example, equipment using a different filter housing or cylindrical filter configuration requires a different filter design.
Please provide the original filter or dimensional drawing for compatibility verification.
What filter media is used?
The standard configuration uses high-efficiency glass fiber filter media. Different media constructions can be developed according to required filtration efficiency, pressure drop and operating conditions.
How long does the filter last?
Filter life depends on the printing material, powder loading, printing hours and airflow conditions. Differential pressure monitoring is recommended rather than relying on a fixed replacement interval.
